@grumbulon there is about a 99% chance something we do not know is horribly broken still but who knows shrug

@zero 100% agree and I have always said that, which if the admin doesn't like they can configure it to be something else which no one seemed to notice (another popular anti-scraper tool, go-away, also does that)

I am going to test something.

For the next week, I am going to entirely disable Anubis on git.froth.zone and see what happens. It could be nothing or I could get murdered by scrapers again, who knows.

Only one way to find out, which I just did by making gfz directly connect to caddy and not anubis

The new writefreely update adds an option where I can now beam my yapping directly into your email inbox if you subscribe, but in typical writefreely fashion it's kind of kludgy and only has a subscribe button on the main list page I should probably add it to the bottom of posts

@cassidyclown @RustyCrab @collappsar @mrsaturday if Google cared about pure profitablity they'd immediately stop burning money at the AI altar since there is next to 0 revenue in it, their risk analysis is "what's the bare minimum we can do to make line go up" and nowadays that's AI capex

@mischievoustomato yes I've had it for years and you can get it on your fedi feed by following @sam or follow the RSS feed at the bottom of the post

@mischievoustomato @bajax that is a surprisingly fair point coming from you (not an insult I swear) and I agree that worrying about things far beyond your control is usually a pointless fight, but just blatantly not feeling bad at all for something terrible happen to someone else just feels soulless to me I guess
