I love reading modern news where (CURRENT THING) is either 1. the best thing ever or 2. the worst thing possible

Reality is so nuts nowadays that even the news makes echo chambers

@pernia @MK2boogaloo Extreme economic uncertainty and oversaturation. If no one knows what the fuck the US government is doing, no one is going to plan long term because your 5 year goal could become impossible tomorrow so it's safest to do nothing. Also having so many in the fray means you can filter for the student government president honour society member because they are also probably unemployed (or got laid off to make the company they used to work for look more profitable)

TLDR: Corporate Greed, Risk Aversion, Uncertainty and Demand

@radix023 while 4 of the 7 (Google, Microsoft, Meta and Amazon) are spending untold amounts of money on anything one of them (Nvidia) makes
Meanwhile Apple just does whatever and Tesla is so detached from reality it doesn't care

@s8n @bajax @sun per Intel's press release they'll always vote with the board except on "limited exceptions" and won't ask for representation or any other rights
So whatever the board of directors wants

@s8n @bajax @sun That costs too much instead they'll get paid to lay even people off and pump the stock price
Btw I saw something somewhere that said the US wouldn't have voting power which makes no sense whatsoever isn't that the entire point of equity besides line go up
