If no one knows what the fuck the US government is doing, no one is going to plan long term because your 5 year goal could become impossible tomorrow so it's safest to do nothing. Also having so many in the fray means you can filter for the student government president honour society member because they are also probably unemployed (or got laid off to make the company they used to work for look more profitable)

I've yet to see a use case for LLMs that couldn't fit on a pro-consumer sized GPU and even for those it's barely beyond "huh, neat" territory
