I emailed the Freedom Phone people nearly 3 months ago. Today, they finally replied. Here is the entire message.
Hello,
I was wondering what changes from AOSP Android were done to FreedomOS to make it private. Also, is there plans of having any source code available?
Thanks!

Their reply, today (9 October):
Hello, in order for the phone to work with cellular data, you will need to have an active sim card from a service provider. We believe that 5G network towers should be further tested before we use them in our devices. The Freedom Phone gives trust with ClearGM, the only service dedicated to security first. Built on decades worth of military-grade computer and network security experience, the Freedom Phone’s ClearGM private network service blocks the whole of the internet by default, then allows only the good parts you want to see. Only the Freedom Phone can provide this level of security and privacy because ClearGM sends all communication with the internet through the ClearGM service. ClearGM is tied to the communications stack on the Freedom Phone to ensure all internet traffic can only go through our ClearGM service allowing ClearGM to protect your Freedom Phone when using a cellular connection or on any Wi-Fi. The Freedom Phone can use all of the major apps you’re accustomed to, plus several apps that have been banned by Apple and Google. Additionally, the phone has preloaded apps, including the ones you expect in a smartphone (calculator, clock, etc.), and it is preloaded with your favorite Freedom Apps, including Parler, Newsmax, Rumble, Telegram, OANN, and more. When purchasing a Freedom Phone, you will also receive a clear case, a SIM card ejector, a USB-C charger, a pair of earbuds w/ 3.5mm jack and a screen protector pre-installed on the device. All specifications for the Freedom Phone are provided on FreedomPhone.com through the specifications link on the top of the website. The Freedom Phone uses ClearOS, originally known as FreedomOS, which fights to keep your phone clear of malware, clear of viruses, and clear of trackers. Additionally, the Freedom Phone has its own uncancelable app store, and comes loaded with freedom apps. (there was no formatting this was straight from the source just a copy and paste)
