@azure @cassidyclown Superannuation seems to get rid of the positives that a normal pension would have while also adding on the negatives the American system has where it's basically entirely on the employee and usually gets invested in the market which doesn't always go up

@cassidyclown defined benefit plans have a purpose because if left to their own devices people won't save anything for retirement and then when they get old have to work until they die instead of leaving their likely higher level job for someone younger than them

@cassidyclown Wait they got rid of the pension for younger civil servants? That's beyond retarded and the opposite of what a pension is supposed to be which is something you pay into AND pull out of

@cassidyclown as the resident fed[i] around here I have no idea how governments seem to light money on fire but not actually change anything for the better when the software I'm supposed to use every day has about a 10% chance of just not working
