@mischievoustomato Do they actually want to see you suffer or are you (not you in particular) so engrossed in your echo chamber you don't actually know how or why the 'other' thinks the way they do?

@bajax When being told over and over that climate change is going to be the end of the world (I'm not going to pretend to be smart enough to agree or disagree with that) it makes sense that extreme environmentalists exist. What also doesn't help is their retarded ways of protest make people want to pollute more which is exactly what gigantic mega polluting companies actually want. Also the obligatory mention of China or India polluting nonstop because they don't give a shit and just want to get ahead. There's a line between "deindustrialization" and "get rid of all regulations let's turn the forest into a parking lot and/or hazardous dump" that gets lost in the sauce
You're not schizo btw bajax

The US Democratic Party would stop being a joke if they abandoned all of the dumb social issues most people don't care about and tripled down on the whole "the economy fucking sucks here's how we fix it". It's so obvious even hacks like Ezra Klein have made books about it. They won't though because the people in charge care about social issues and are rich enough to benefit from the economy getting worse for the people on the bottom

TL;DR: IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID

@zonk the way I did it was by using regex in bitwarden and having a long as fuck password for all of them. If I get pwned I don't care the email is also something I only use for applying
It's still annoying as hell to deal with I hate it

@zonk I hate how Lever and Greenhouse don't bother having a way of tracking application status you just have to pray the company bothers to turn you down. I agree with the tier list though they're all annoying for requiring accounts

@bajax private equity is healthy for the economy chud stop being anti-Semitic. Looting companies for all their assets and dumping them off or letting them go into bankruptcy is a healthy capitalistic endavour

@phnt @RustyCrab @binkle @cassidyclown @waifu @zonk @zero don't forget as well as setting up all of the DNS infrastructure as well as handling the inevitable abuse and illegal stuff that will happen so you don't get smitten by ICANN for breaking their rules.
There's a reason why most TLDs are owned by giants like Google or Apple or hoarded by companies Donuts, the cost of entry is so absurdly high that it's impossible to start from the bottom. Natural monopolies (an economic wankery term for when the cost of starting competition with something is so high that there will naturally be few or only one winner, eg. Power companies, ISPs, rail networks) are extremely prevalent in tech because of how expensive it is to start from scratch

@cassidyclown @RustyCrab @binkle @waifu @zero If we crowdfunded 300,000 USD we could petition ICANN who will probably immediately say no
Btw that fee is non refundable

@RustyCrab It already has. Bots infest mainstream social media. AI scrapers waste heaps of bandwidth training the next big thing that can't figure out that 2+2 is 4. Most of the regular Internet is at the hands of a few gigantic private tech companies. The entire infrastructure is at the whims of private tech companies like Verisign and Donuts.

You don't have to look for the tech dystopia, we're already in one.
