@creamqueen @BionicNigga @Hoss most of those apps now are thin wrappers over the native web browser they really have no reason to exist when PWAs exist and even Apple lets them have independent notifications (that are opt in)

Btw the military contract problem is international one time before I was born my father did some work for BAE and when they didn't have an actual answer they just put in a ridiculous number because not having the entire list done made them look uncompetitive and they would just blindly pay the cost after approving the quote because no one actually audits anything

Looking at Palantir and Tesla immediately disproves the whole "the market is full of rational actors" bit, rational actors wouldn't pump literal garbage that no one knows what they actually do

@icst SMS is by far the worst since SIM swapping is trivial but just because it is slightly harder to get another phone number than it is to sign up for a different email address places still think it's secure or something
