Ok, before you all rush to the comment section telling me how much of a monster I am, yes I know the title sounds awful, but let me give you the full story.

Recently I had been having visions of my pregnant wife dying during childbirth. They are these very distressing nightmares that I could not get out of my head, and even worse, I am convinced that they actually mean something. My bosses have not been much help either. They had been using me to spy on one of my best friends who is a well known political figure in the area.

For more context, they were under the impression that said friend was the identity of an anonymous criminal mastermind who has been engineering conflicts for years now. Despite they, they refused to give me a promotion even though I have worked very hard and made numerous contributions to the organization, and they just insist on treating me like a child in general. It's unfair.

Well, they turned out to actually have been right about my friend. When they set out to confront him, he had killed three of their guys and by the time I had arrived, despite them not letting me fight, the last one left had him cornered. But that's when he (the politician friend) said something that got my attention. He told me that he could save my wife and that he could prevent her from dying. My boss also was about to kill the dude, which was actually against our code, something he chastised me for doing to another war criminal not too long ago, yet here he is doing it himself.

So I admittedly threw him out the window in a snap decision. Maybe it was stupid of me, but my friend was the only hope I had of saving my pregnant wife and at that moment my boss showed me how hypocritical the organization I had worked for was.

After this, my friend told me that I had done the right thing and that my organization truly was corrupt. He told me that if I did what he asked, then in return he would save my wife. So he instructed me to gather up soldiers and go to my company's headquarters and wipe out anyone who worked there. Men, women, and children. (The soliders are all clones of one guy who, if I remember right, was actually a trained assassin, but that's a story for another time.) So I took my troops and did just that.

You see, in the organization I work at there are children there called "younglings" who are essentially in training to become members of the company when I grow up. From what I understand, they are taken from their parents as babies and raised at the headquarters so that they can be the best workers they can be. Free from any emotional attachments. At I write this I now realize how messed up it all is.

So anyway, after I had slaughtered the majority of the workforce, I went to the room where the younglings were all trained. One said that there were "too many of them", and asked me what we were going to do, clearly under thr impression that I was on his side. I didn't say anything, I just took out my weapon and slaughtered all the children in that room. Each and every one of them. And then I left and continued to kill the rest of the workforce.

Anyway once I got back to my friend, who is now my new boss, and he congratulated me and let me do my thing, I was asked about what happened at HQ on discord. Apparently it blew up on the news, and since they knew I worked there, they wanted to know if I was ok and what I would do now etc. And when I told them that I had slaughtered younglings, they had told me that it was fucked up, that I was a "sociopath", and that I should get help or be in jail. But really after knowing how fucked up this company was I'm not really feeling the same sympathy or disgust that they do.
